Style Inspiration
This bag’s color is exactly as pictured. The leather is exactly as you would expect from pictured as well—thick, sturdy, delicious smelling. I absolutely love this little bag. I have a little Frye ID wallet I carry around, so I haven’t had the issues a few of the other reviewers have had with their wallets not fitting. I am waiting delivery of a small black bag also made by Old Trend. Hopefully the hardware will holdout as well on that play as this one has so far.
It is small, but not too small. Cute details and lovely leather workmanship. Great quality, and I have some Frye products, but Old Trend are a fraction of the cost, if you buy at Macy's and on sale! Adjustable shoulder strap, removable too. Top handle to carry w/o the strap. I bought the brown. Rich color. Cute Dr. bag style.
I purchase the bag in a Lilac color. The color is a little darker than in the first photo. I would describe the color as wine.

This purse is truly a modern version of a vintage-styled early 20th century purse. It's exactly what I was looking for in style, color, quality, & especially the size. I can fit my wallet, phone, a lightweight whatnot zippered nylon case for my odds & ends, & still room for maybe a pair of sunglasses! What more do you need? It's a super high quality leather, substantial, but not too heavy or I wouldn't keep it. The weight of some bags can be prohibitive. I'd love this in any color, but the burgundy is gorgeous, especially for fall & winter. Love the easy magnetic clasp. It's a nice splurge, but a practical bag, & on sale it's too good to pass up.
